What's New?

  • November 2008:  A recent study for the Small Business Administration (SBA) revealed that small businesses generate more patents per person than large businesses.  The study also concluded that patents issued to small businesses are "more significant" than those issued to large entities.  Click here for the full report.
  • November 2008: Yet another application drafted by Mr. Olsen has issued as a U.S. patent.  There is a link to U.S. Patent No. 7,450,568 on the Patents & Publications page.
  • November 2008: Just for fun, I added a Photo Gallery page to this Website.  Check it out!
  • October 2008: The Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit decided In re Bilski based on a new "machine-or-transformation" test for processes.  The holding will likely render certain types of "pure business method" claims unpatentable.  Contact Mr. Olsen if you'd like to discuss the relevance of this case to your invention.
  • June 2008: Mr. Olsen joined the professional networking Website LinkedIN.  You can view his public LinkedIn profile here.
