Credentials
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (B.S.E.E.) degree, 1983
- Seventeen (17) years of experience at a major electronics company; started as a design engineer and later held middle management positions in product development, manufacturing, and marketing
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree, 2001, graduated cum laude
- Ten (10) years of law firm experience, including: one (1) year as a student associate; one (1) year as a patent agent; five (5) years as an attorney at two national law firms; and three (3) years as the head of his own patent firm. During this time, Mr. Olsen developed skills as a patent application drafter and prosecutor, and also represented clients in complex patent litigation matters

- Bar admissions: U.S. Patent & Trademark Office; Virginia; U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit; U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit (not admitted in Florida)
